It's unsustainable and those rankings won't fit their narrative so don't expect them to come out in full force to give them. They only love to point to the negetive. That's their goal is to push the we suck narrative. More like the we suck bc of O and his OC narrative.

Regarding special teams - last night in 2nd half, I noticed that all of a sudden our punt returners seemed like they reverted to last year’s “don’t field the punt, let it bounce” style of play. I also noticed a major erosion in our field position after a punt that seemed to be the result.

14th in conference in plays per game. Which is a fricking KILLER for our defense. Especially when you're also 14th in yards per play, by a lot. We average 5.26 yards per play for our 120 plays, while Auburn has 6.4 yards per play on 154 plays.

120 plays total, 60 per game for us.

I can't find that stat on field position, but the total play stat and yards per play stat are both disastrous for us.

Good try though.

When you go 3 & out you're not going to get a lot of plays so you're hurting your own argument.

Appears we're 8th nationally and 3rd in conference in average starting field position.

Which actually makes our offense's stats seem even worse, if that's possible.

How have we scored so few points?

That’s the point. We have less yards to go than 11 other teams in conference.

yep the offense looked like a well oiled machine last night. Those three yards passing were something to behold

so how do you explain both alabama and florida having much more productive offenses than lsu when they have even less yards to go than lsu does?

and how do you explain 6/7 teams with better starting field position than lsu having more prolific offenses than lsu?

and how do you explain ohio st being #2 in the country in yards per game while being #4 in the country in starting field position?

17 second half plays were something special. Resulted in 7 points off a long 18 yard drive. Smh

I mean LSU had some tremendous field position for Miami, who's punter shanked ever kick 20 yards give or take

Turnovers/loss of downs did as well against SELA

Issue is we aren't scoring many offensive TD's despite the great field position which is concerning

how many passes?

Wtf does that have to do with the number of plays run in the second half?

So if we run the ball every play against an FCS team this will always be the result is that your argument?
