Auburn just upset Mizzou so LSU is alone in 2nd at 6-3. A good night of hoops for the Tigers.

Auburn is 10x better with that stud recruit who just started playing for them. They scored 109 over the weekend.

You would think we were in 10th place if you read some of the posts from our "basketball fans"

But the rant said wade is overrated and that we are in a downward spiral. How could this be?

It's such a shame that we have the worst coach in the conference and just play AAU ball.

Sorry Wade, LSU fans are not satisfied with 2nd in the conference. You've got to go.

Yep. I remember days when winning 2 of 4 was damn near impossible.

Will Wade has averaged just over 3 wins out of 4 since 2018

Not bad for the youngest coach in the SEC by some distance

Happy, but it's early. Schedule gets much tougher. Play some D.

We are both underperforming and majorly improved as a program under Will Wade

It's very possible to do both. I'm not ready to let him go yet but he needs to pick it up

Next six games will tell us whether we are a tourney team or not.

That may be the best record in the conf over that span.

We are a tournament team... #2 in a power conference. The next 5 will tell us whether we’re a sweet 16 team or not though. 4-1 or better over that span and we’d be sitting at a 4 or 5 seed.

If you noticed, there either was no game thread, or it was dead for the first 10 minutes of the game when things were going really well.

LSU looked like it had flipped a switch defensively after Ole Miss and Arkansas, but things have gone in the opposite direction since then on defense. Fortunately, they played better D inside of 10 minutes left against aTm, but aTm also went stone cold for the last 8 minutes even on possessions when they got open shots. LSU is really lazy with offensive rebounding too. A W is a W though.

LSU is going to have to play significantly better and Wade is going to have to coach with more fire than he has been in order to avoid a disappointing stretch coming up. LSU has the talent to beat a lot of teams, but they have been trending in the wrong direction.

Those standings can change quickly. This team has so many weaknesses that we can get beat by anyone. We are so short! Look at our front line. Wilkinson is about 6'4" (compare him to Smart), Days is 6'7" only in his dreams, actually barely 6'6" and Watford at 6'9".

If we get drawn out by the three shooters then they kill us on the boards. If we send the guards to the boards then we get killed by threes. We really don't match up well with the larger teams. Wade has tried the press to overcome these limitations but a good team will slice that up and get a bunch of gimmes.

It takes a great shooting night, few turnovers and lots of steals for us to play well. We also need to win the foul shooting every night. We need to get to the line a lot and we need to make them. If we go 3-3 for the next six games we will be doing well.

We'll be lucky to go 3-2 over that stretch but likely to go 2-3. Maybe worse if we keep playing like we have for the past 4 games...
