Dave wasn’t happy here. Look at his recent comments - he felt like a machine at Lsu. Don’t think he would have come back.

You misinterpret his comments.
He was a "machine" at LSU b/c that was his natural mentality as an intelligent-introvert (I imagine he's INTJ or close to it) and we let him be himself. At Baylor he's had to change and is better for it. He would have likely had the same changes here in the HC role.
