No mess, no fuss, got another good coach to fill the void and moved on from a potential fiasco with a late springtime hire and letting media know too much.

Seems like this alignment thing works.

Wish coach Cain would have stayed but Lindsey has a long track record. I’m a fan of the hire

What's he done at SC or any of his previous coaching jobs that show great coaching or recruiting?

I don't see it on his Resume'.

We can only hope he didn't get the gig just because he's friends with and has previously coached with Matt House.

BTW, what happened to LSU Alum Bo Davis?

I'm skeptical. He had 5 star Jordan Burch, the top edge in the country, and didn't do shite with him.

USCe doesn’t seem very concerned he’s leaving. If the talent we have at DL doesn’t grade out at the top of conference then we’ll know he can’t coach.

LSU was in a no win situation. Any coach worth their salt could name their price. LSU would have to overpay.

Replacing staff is an integral part of head coaching. It can be the difference between winning and losing. Successful head coaches manage their assistants and the expectations and have a plan to execute and do so. I’m not worried about coach Kelly’s hires.

It's probably the best they could do short term. Coach Cain leaving us so late into spring really left us in a tight spot.

He has one year to show something or get replaced. Not the end of the world.

I obviously know nothing of this guy, but if BK likes him, I like him too.

He’s probably got a three year guaranteed contract. LSU isn’t going to just eat $1m buyout.

Resume seems a little thin but Kelly and House have earned the benefit of the doubt. Of course, there was a time I said the same about Les and his bbq buddies.

That’s the thing about a lot of coaches they tend to go after prior relationships. Hopefully he works out, but as someone said it was late to lose an assistant
