They are 1 of 10 OL units nominated for the Joe Moore award which is given to the best OL unit in college.

The Joe Moore Award is presented annually to the "Most Outstanding Offensive Line Units" in college football.
The top-ranked Tigers are joined on the list by offensive lines from Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Kentucky, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Washington and Wisconsin.

Cregg’s going to get that $$.

I was just watching the CBS "inside college football" discussions and they asked who is the most disappointment in college football. One guy said Texas and another guy said LSU defense.

they will never say Bama has a bad defense. they are worse than us on D

Right, but Bama had a bunch of high profile guys leave for the draft last year and have been plagued with injuries.

Well deserved recognition. The LSU O-Line deserves it!

Bama's D should be in the discussion. They're just carrying on the tradition started vs Clemson in early '19.

Neither are wrong
But I think part of it is based on expectations
People expected this LSU defense to be elite. If we were projected to be mediocre no one would be calling them a disappointment.

Burrow has been sacked 23 times in 10 games. Would be easily over 30 if Burrow didn’t have Elite pocket presence and mobility. That’s the most among those ten teams listed

Disappointment is always based on expectations.

The OL struggled early with Cregg's zone blocking schemes to the point that the schemes were dialed way back, but they're coming back now with recurring frequency and the players really seem to be gelling well with them, even with injuries and other issues that have kept some of our big guys sidelined.
This OL was an astronomical "question mark" at the beginning of the season, and is now a nationally recognized, elite unit. Let us not forget that.

LOL! I was struggling to answer that guys post. I had about three sentences in my head and you summed it all up perfectly with six words! : ;

How many times has LSU passed vs all those teams, for example UK is playing a WR at QB and vs Missouri passed 2 times, Wisconsin is a run heavy team

Wow and we all thought that was the Achilles heel this year

As they should. Easily a top 5 OL in the country. Every elite offense starts with the big boys up front.

This is the O-Line that is helping set SEC passing records that have be around a long time. Burrow has the highest praise for his O-Line...
That's good enough for me.

How’s pocket presence makes them look really good

Well mobile QBs who are talented tend to take more sacks than other QBs
because they move around looking to make a play. It's a by product of the QB. Not a knock on Joe it's just how it is with QBs like him.
