A computer recognizes a team has an advantage at home and factors that in when trying to produce a list of who the best teams on an equal playing field are.

Read the article on why LSU is higher than GA.

Makes perfect sense. Same reason why GA is higher than Clemson.

Location of game plays a factor.

Unfortunately, the BCS computers are not our friends so far this year. They will improve as our schedule gets tougher and we win out...but would they improve enough to offset human bias and get us into the BCS game?


Sagarin ELO = 5

Massey BCS = 12

Colley Matrix = 15

Billingsley = 8

Anderson = 15

Wolfe isn't out until later in the year.

Yes, LSU's position will continue to improve because of who they play. Last week I posted comments from Brad Edwards on this topic.

Florida, @Ole Miss, @Alabama, Texas A&M, Georgia..

Yeah, we would move up a bit wen we win out.

We were 1 and 3 in two of these polls before we lost to Georgia.
