LSU Natty Parade Reflection

I have grown up a Tiger fan since the age of 3 when I moved to LA with my mom & got introduced to this glorious institution by my stepfather. I was a 5 year old in the South End Zone of the Earthquake Game. Attended multiple Dale Brown & Skip Bertman camps. Watched many games with Shaq on the court. Watched many games from the hot stands of Old Alex Box. Attended LSU 2001-2006 & failed at walking on to the baseball team. Ended up playing club lacrosse at LSU. Worked in Tiger Den Suites from the 1st year for 4 total years (HS then college). Went to 2001 & 2003 SEC title games as a student. I attended 2003 & 2007 Nattys. Tailgated in NOLA for 2012 Natty weekend. I made a career in athletics in 4 different states. I have raised my kids to be LSU fans. I came back to LA & coached lacrosse at LSU from 2012-2015. My kids WISH that Coach O was 1 of their grandfather & that Mrs. Kelly was 1 of their grandmothers. As much as any of you here-I proudly bleed purple & gold.
In my life, I have NEVER seen anything, for any school/sport/team, like what was on display at Saturday's National Championship Celebration Parade. Tens of thousands of Tiger faithful invaded The Hill & the PMAC. There was a such a beautiful outpouring of love for our University-I can't put in to any better words. The ONLY thing that I think could have been any bigger/better would be IF the stadium field weren't currently under construction & we could've all piled into Death Valley just once more this season to honor our program.
I am forever (LSU) thankful that I was able to attend the parade with my kids & that I have these memories that will last in my heart as well as all of the digital outlets at our disposal.
Thank You, LSU. And Thank You, TD.

I know things have changed over the years via the introduction of social media, but our brand has never been any higher. Coach O and members of the non football ops have really done a great job of making sure this team was highly visible on every possible platform.

This has been a season that I will carry to my grave. Thank you so much to this great team!

I genuinely cannot wait to tell my kids about this season in 10-15 years.

Yeah the parade was nice, but pale in comparison to the Saints victory parade after they won the super bowl!!

The only thing I didn't like was the boo. That's not classy no matter who's on the other end of it. If he's a guest to our school and town, much worse.
You don't like the guy, just don't cheer them.

Apologies, but I am missing something here. Who got booed?

Ah. Yes, she was quite cringe worthy. But definitely not the time to boo.

The politicians have to be careful not to come across as taking any attention away from the team and the accomplishments. I was even upset with Trump, who I admire, at the start of his presentation at the White House. He finished strong however so I'll give him a pass. Short Wheel Base (aka SWB) needs to know her place and stay the heck out of the parade. JBE too to a lesser extent.
Politicians like all of us need to know our place and when the emphasis is on others we should take a low profile and cheer.

I didn't hear Broomstick get booed. Sankey got booed but he is used to it by now.

I did not hear her get booed. SEC commissioner and Gov JBE both got booed. Crazy thing is that the college aged kid sitting next to me cheered loudest for JBE.
I'd love to know how many people went to the parade, but did not make it into the PMAC. Most of my friends left after the parade.

Many here won't agree but of course the Super Bowl is a much bigger deal than a college football championship.
I get that for many LSU is bigger but that's a personal feeling.
The Super Bowl victory is objectively a much bigger deal.
