Lacrosse team has at least been around since the 90s. It was a club sport, not affiliated with Athletic Dept. More of an organized REC Team that played other schools.

I played in the late 90s, and we would have matches against Tulane, Loyola, LSUS, Spring Hill, Millsaps, etc.

Do they sell any gear? Kid plays lacrosse, and would love to have a shirt, or pinnie.

LSU Lacrosse plays in the MCLA (Men's Collegiate Lacrosse Association), and LSU made it to the MCLA tournament a couple of years ago.

LSU finished the 2022 season with an 8-5 record.

LSU Lacrosse recently hired JR Ball (formerly coach for Catholic High) as Head Coach. Brett Davis was hired as Defensive Coordinator.

LSU Lacrosse Schedule 2023

The team has sold gear in the past. (I bought an LSU Lacrosse bag in November 2022.) Keep an eye out for dates when the team store is open.

From what we've learned in recent years - the team dates back to the late 70s.

I've watched 10 year olds on my sons team blast other kids (and get blasted). They wear about as many pads as football players. It's really fun to watch, particularly the college clubs that are sometimes playing at the same places my kid has tournaments at.

But beware, they f*@ing stink like hockey players. You'll be outside and walk by a group of high school kids that just finished playing and get floored by the BO.

Uh... Not quite

quote:

Lacrosse is the oldest team sport in North America with the sport documented back to the early 17th century. Originated among various Native communities, with regional variations on how the game was played, lacrosse was played throughout modern Canada, but was most popular around the Great Lakes, Mid-Atlantic seaboard, and American South. Traditional lacrosse games were sometimes semi-major events that could last several days. As many as 100 to 1,000 men from opposing villages or tribes would participate.

I'm assuming you mean scholarship level LAX.

I'm an Asperger like a-hole. After scrolling through 20 messages since "Lacrosse team has been around since the 70s" goes in one ear and out the other, as not specific enough. Whose team? In the south? What about New England? The LSU team? I don't know, not enough details were explicit enough.

I missed the context that happened a while ago. frick me.

I had no idea what the hell you were talking about, and had to assume what I thought you might be saying while watching the LSU-UT game.
