I’d prefer Duke.

Well, it's Bossier but it's right across the river from Shreveport. Be honest. The bridge isn't but a few hundred yards from the parking lot.

Honestly, I made such a point of fricking with friends in college telling them that Bossier and Shreveport are the same thing that I forget they are actually different cities

Nice. I was wondering when this would start happening. When Wade was first hired, he talked about how he would eventually like to start doing one or two games per season in other locations around the state in order to help build support and interest. He had mentioned specifically doing something in Shreveport as a possibility. Looks like they are finally getting around to it.

Should have done a straight up away game to troll Bob Marlin.

Does anyone know if the Cajundome is owned by ULL or the city? Because a great troll would be to somehow manage to negotiate a game in the Cajundome, but against a school other than ULL.

Of course, that would only be remotely possible if the facility is owned by the city and not the school.

ETA: Never mind. Just looked on the facility website and it says it is owned by the school. Damn!

Was built in ‘00 and was home to the Mudbugs hockey team for 12 years...also was home to the Battle Wings arena football team for 10 years. Sits idle quite a bit now other than a few concerts from time to time. Seats about 12,500 for basketball/hockey games. Very nice facility.

A Trent Johnson coached LSU team played Wichita State there.

Edit: I think they served beer at the game, would go again. It was fun to see LSU play in a different arena.

Playing Wichita state in bossier is about as Trent Johnson of an idea as it gets. I’m sure he thought that would inject life into the fan base

I'm one of only a couple hundred people who ever saw Hernan Montenegro suit up in an LSU uniform, when Dale brought the Tigers to scrimmage at Caldwell Parish High School. The enigmatic Argentinian left the team a few days later.
