I wondered that too. I had heard at the time of the injury that he would have surgery in several weeks. I wondered why they were waiting so long. I know he graduated last week so maybe he wanted to wait for that. He is a Tiger through and through. Maybe it was his choice to wait until after the bowl game since he was already waiting for graduation. Just my speculation though

The swelling has to subside before they will operate.

Seems as though waiting just prolongs the recovery process and the time it takes him to get back on the field.

Thanks, Dr. Oz, but if the swelling hasn't subsided by now, something is very, very wrong. Kinda doubt that's the reason for the delay.

As a former athlete with a more serious knee injury. The reason I am thinking that he waited, so he could be with his team. Also with ACL injuries the doctors like you to do some type pre rehab treatment to get the quad and other muscles stronger.
