We should be top 25 just based on recruited talent, but it doesn’t matter. This will take care of itself. LSU is a name brand. We start winning and we will rise quickly.

There’s a lot of things I care about. Preseason polls aren’t one of them. The offense is an unkown quantity. Until we see how they preform, we have no idea how good we’ll be.

Defense is gonna be nasty.

I remember waiting all summer for Athlon to come out. Now I wouldn't have noticed if not for this thread.

Win and LSU will be in. Until that WTF cares about preseason rankings. If LSU wins, it'll be nice to look back and gloat a bit.

Desmond, no surprise as a UM grad, picked Michigan to win the natty this year over Alabama.

Corso picked Wisconsin to win it. No surprise here, either. He's out of his mind sometimes.

Herbstreit picked Bama over Clemson. Safe pick. He sees Washington and Penn St in the playoff, though. Interesting.

Moral of the story: the opinions are widespread. Let it play out. The best teams usually end up where they should be.

They only need to play up and they will move up. That's what Captain Obvious told me.

In college football, the head coach is everything. See Clemson...

Dabo would have been fired after year 3 at LSU with the numbers he was putting up.......looks like patience paid off.

Much different......Dabo took over a team with a losing record (6-7).
