LSU is embarassing themselves right now

I feel bad for them.
Reminds me of one of those poor no name lower tier teams that would wander into the Box for a regional and get the brakes beat off of them by an LSU team that they KNEW was superior to them.
This team is one of he worst LSU teams in the last 30 years.

Probably around bottom 5 from the last 30 but several others were worse.

Not saying hands down the worst but definitely bottom 5. I can't remember an LSU team that struggled so much in EVERY phase of the game!

The injuries aren’t exclusively what did this team in. They are playing very poor fundamental baseball. You can’t win consistently if you can’t put down a simple bunt or focus enough to scratch across a run with the bases loaded and no outs.

Yeah but it’s still one of our worst teams in the last 3 decades. Says a lot about our program. We’re fricking awesome but down year no doubt. Everyone should have the expectation of getting a National seed next year. If not then it’s time to be embarrassed. This years team finished where they were projected to finish

The lineup has to change drastically next year or the results will be the same. There's simply not enough talent.

True. Doesn't make it any easier to watch them get drilled and it doesn't make me feel any better about the lack of quality hitters that are currently in the line up.

Looks a lot like Smoke's last team. The one that didn't make the tournament. This team isn't that bad but the talent between them is as close as it has been since Maineri took over.

And that falls on PM. I am not hating on him, but he is the head coach and they currently don't have talent and chemistry. LSU shouldn't have a down year like this. This is his responsibility.

We beat Oregon St twice to make it to the finals in Omaha when OSU was picked by many to win it.
It’s a regional at their place.
We’re young, our pitching has been bi-polar and no consistancy with the bats.
What exactly did you expect from this game?
I didn’t expect a blowout but this is a tough regional to win.
