I love the low expectations. I’m confounded with how misinformed the media is about LSU Football. I tend to be objective and and take off my P&G glasses when discussing LSU football’s upcoming season. I simply cannot accept that this team will go 7-5. We have players all over the field. The bigger question is the scheme. That’s the greatest fear amongst the LSU fan base. When we dismantle Miami just watch how LSU is going to become the media darling. It’s fake and screw them!

Great opportunity to place a bet and get a pay day then if you are so sure.

Gambling in stupid.

Can you honestly blame the media for being skeptical about where our program is right now?

I am as cautiously optimistic as any delusional LSU fan out there, but I realize there is zero reason for any media personality to hang their hat on Ed O's Tigers right now.

The thing that most concerns me is whoever wins the QB job (Burrow) getting first team reps in fall camp. I want the QB "competition" to be over quickly so that guy (JB) can get as many first team reps as possible. Especially with a new offense and a lot of fresh faces.

LSU’s defense is being slept on, no doubt, and if the offense ends up better than anticipated, then LSU has the potential to surprise.

I think the general consensus in media circles is that LSU needed to be retooled in terms of front 7 and OL talent. And that narrative is not wrong necessarily. There’s just inherent skepticism regarding O and his ability to fix that. And we’ll most/all agree that skepticism is fair.

I look at where we are objectively, and I see a roster that is improved somewhat from 2016; stronger in the trenches but questions at the skill positions.

I think Orgeron had meaningful roster challenges to overcome since he took over, and he’s made some progress. People will say that Orgeron’s being held to a lesser standard than Miles since we’re tolerating 8 to 9 win seasons. I think that’s false; I think Orgeron did need a little time to reengineer the roster, and it is only fair to expect better performances after he’s had some time to address that. I now feel like he’s had the time. Now he needs to show that Ensminger was a good hire this year, and if that happens then the record will be good enough to keep him going. If it doesn’t happen, then the criticism will be strong and fair.

Take the media for what it’s worth. They predicted Bama to win the SEC. they also predicted UGA to win the East, but narrowly over Florida. They praised Brett Bielema and rediculed CEO.

They totally wiffed on Miss St.

Take their opinions for what their worth, nothing.

It's not gambling if you're certain of the result.

I think people are going to be very surprised and excited when they see our total package on offense. I really feel good about this year in spite of our schedule. I see 9-3

I just don't buy Miami being that much better than LSU. Last year Aranda said it was his hardest ever coaching a defense with all of the new starters. I think the D with a deep talented front 7 is going to come out and punch Miami in the mouth. I am not impressed with Malik Rosier and expect him to make mistakes and our offense to do enough to win.

Giving this team a quality win to start the season should give this team confidence. It may take a couple games for the offense to hit stride, but I see this as being one of our best defenses in years and I think they will add that one missing piece. Turnovers.

Now add a competent kicking game and hopefully an overall improved ST and we are in a better position to win close games.

There are so many unknowns, but there is talent there that if developed quickly and utilized effectively can compete with anyone.

there is no qb competition. It's just coach speak right. Burrow is head and shoulders better.

We’re winning the national championship. It’ll be a shock to the CFB world and a shock to a portion of our fan base rooting against us because they don’t like O as the HC.
