In honesty I think the ATS records of the two coaches tell the story. Saban covers at 60% which means he "over performs" and leads to happy fans. Miles doesnt cover 60% of the time which means he"under-performs" and leads to unhappy fans. It doesnt make it right but I think that honestly makes a huge difference
ETA: Im not sure if you will reply though now that you see Saban has a good record. But im not sure why you brought him into this thread anyway.

LSU 2011- 10-4
LSU 2012 - 5-8
