We’re more than six months from kickoff, but oddsmakers at one online sportsbook aren’t giving the LSU football team much of a chance at Alabama.
Tuesday, BetOnline.AG released odds for 45 college football “Games of the Year” during the 2019 season. Alabama has opened as a 17-point favorite for the Nov. 9 matchup at Bryant-Denny Stadium.
The Tigers have lost eight straight games to Alabama since a 9-6 victory in Tuscaloosa, Alabama during the 2011 regular season.
Four of LSU’s 2019 games were featured in the opening batch of lines.
One week after the season opener against Georgia Southern in Baton Rouge, the LSU travels to Darrell K Royal–Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin, Texas, to play the University of Texas. Oddsmakers weren’t swayed by homefield advantage this time.
LSU has opened as a 7-point favorite against the Longhorns on Sept. 7.
On Oct. 12, BetOnline.AG has made LSU a 3.5-point favorite in a home game against Florida. LSU hosts Auburn on Oct. 26 and is a 7.5-point favorite.

You'd have to be a dumbass to not take LSU +17 right now.

Going to be a tough game in Austin, and it’s week 2 when there aren’t many games going on so all eyes will be on that game. Can’t wait

We can’t score on them. This has been the case 2 times at home.

LSU has so much coming back and Texas loses a lot. We should win but you never know with LSU

Are they offering a money line for LSU/Bama? LSU will win eventually and Bama loses a ton to the draft.

On the one hand LSU hasn't lost by 17 at Bama since 2013. On the other hand, LSU's current OC has yet to produce a single point vs. Bama in 8 quarters of football.

Well basing it off of what O has done with grandpa E in charge if the offense Bama will only need to score 20 to cover that so yeah I'll wait and see this "new" LSU offense before I take that bet.

Agree.

I agree, I think Texas keeps it close at home though. This is the biggest non conference game there since Ohio State back in the day, place is gonna be nuts. If the Tigers roll it could be a nice way to start the season though.

This is how you know it's a horrible idea.

True, but...they have Ehlinger, and Tom Herman. I'd rather be sitting pretty at home with Herman than traveling to a HOSTILE environ w/ Coach O. Give me Texas to cover the spread.

Dang. That means we would be almost a 2 TD favorite at home.

Too conservative, imho. One is a playoff team, the other is bout to get fricked.
