I'm not able to confirm but I'm trying to find the last time, if ever, this has happened at any school. I'm sure it happened in the 1800s or something when one of 3 schools won it every year, but only counting the last 80 years or so, I have had trouble finding one.

Great stat and just shows we are here to stay.

Thought Miami had. But no.

Amazing stat.

It's LSU, not the coaches.

Did John Cooper at Ohio State ever win one?

No, osu is at 2 consecutive now but only if you don't count the full year where their coach was "interim"

In 16 years no less. We many never see this again in CFB. It underscores how real the talent advantage is in the state with no natural, local rival to bleed it away.

If the coach/management is even quasi-competent, the talent base alone is enough to have a better than average program.

Miami had three consecutive and 4 out of 5. Butch Davis barely missed making it 5/5.

#2 with #1’s players

Miles won a 2 loss championship. Blew the 2011 game, and had the players in 05 and 06 to go all the way.

All the coaching blunders like clocking it on 4th down or calling a timeout after a punt because he didn’t know the clock stops on a change of possession...what a character

Can’t believe he lasted as long as he did

Agree. Can’t believe Miles lasted as long as he did. Had Nick Saban not headed to Bama via the NFL we are probably looking at multiple titles. C’est la vie!!! Looking forward to more titles with Coach O, so it’s all good.
