So we have a shot to finish top10-12, but that isn't even mediocre. Lmao.

You have to blame the rest on coaching and the inability to produce a solid QB.
so those 2 last minute losses were on the QBs? Mettenberger tossing for 300+ was on him right?

Nothing on our shitty end of game defense? Chavis gets no blame.

All I’m saying you can’t just look at rank or whatever. You have to look at the whole year such as strength of schedule.
In 205 a we had a better season overall considering the competition.
BUT Les - WHO I WANTED FIRED SINCE 2008, was on the hot seat against better competition.

Well Orgeron will never beat Saban
Most coaches never beat Saban. That's why it would've been stupid to pay $7+ million for a coach until Saban is gone.

There were several years since 08 that Vegas wouldnt have had 9 schools favored over LSU on a neutral field in a bowl game. Polls are just polls. Strength of schedule has rarely been awarded vs overall record in a chicken shite conference with these pollerticians.

What teams have finished more than once in the Top 10 in the same time span?

Bama has taken the fun out of football, that's true, but them taunting us for being "7SU" and "L7U" is getting hard to take.

Two of those losses were on Chavis. There was no good reason to lose the games in 2012 and 2014; the Tigers just snatched defeat from the jaws of victory and threw both those games away.

I'll state the obvious:

There are a lot of miserable people who post on TD.

If not for the catastrophe in Ames, LSU would have a Top 10 finish every season since 2011, with half of those being Top 5.

Well, to be fair - we're 1 (or 2) point from being in the Top 10 this year.

For that matter, Auburn is a missed extra point from being in the playoffs.

Football is a game of inches. Obviously, the MSU game was just a whupping - no reasonable amount of inches could have made much of a difference.

The other game we lost, Bama, take a first half drive where we had Bama on their heels, 3rd and long - we had Hurts all but sacked, out of FG range even. He escapes and not only saves the field position, gets the first down and they ultimately score a touchdown. An inch or so and we successfully make that sack, that's 7 points off the board. I'm not saying we win the game, with how well their punter controlled the field position and all our difficulties in scoring, but that's a much, much closer game.

So, 1 point in 1 game, and inch or two in another (plus one more big play) - and WE'RE in the playoffs.

That's the margin between 3rd or 4th and the mid-teens.

Not miserable at all, bro. Just commenting that the “traditional powers” you listed were pretty toothless this season. Always happy for a Tigers victory but let’s be honest, we didn’t play murderers row this year.

Merry Christmas!

The SEC West has been the best division in all of CFB during that time. But stil, we could have and should have done better.

I miss getting to the SECCG every 3 years or so. Those were fun times.
