Remember when Les said this after the UF game in 2010?

"They didn't like me very much when we were 5-0. Now we're 6-0. Hope you guys like me more."

The perfect season for many LSU fans is to go undefeated, win the national title with the backup QB and fire your coach at the end of the year.

Here’s a serious question: are you not concerned AT ALL with how our offense has looked through 4 games? Am I or others considered “negatives” if we voice a concern about how we have yet to score 40 points in a game, have looked absolutely sloppy in the 2nd half in 3 of our 4 games so far, or were in an actual dog-fight against Louisiana Tech last night? Look, everyone is pumped about us being #5 and 4-0! It’s better than I thought we’d be. Having said that, honestly we aren’t in the same league as either Bama or Georgia, 2 teams we still have to play. I don’t consider that being negative, I consider it honesty. Hopefully we start to play better especially on the offensive side of the ball but it’s so typical that when people start expressing concerns, others immediately call them out or try and tell them they aren’t true fans

Fans won't be happy until LSU beats bama. 7 losses in a row is ridiculous.

The 2010 season was a strange one. Didn’t even feel like it got going until that wacky Florida game.

It's been a perplexing conundrum to be an LSU fan the last decade. You go from being a middle of the pack SEC to to getting a diamond in the rough coach that brings you national attention and success. Then he leaves for the NFL, only to come right back to college and coach historic power in your division.

He's replaced with a kooky guy that recruits well and has some sustained success, but over time just seems to be tripping on his own feet. So he is replaced mid season by an interim coach that can't speak a lick of English, but he will be replaced of course.

Then he's given the head coaching job and loses to Troy St. in his first year.

All the while, LSU fans watch an absolute machine of a program be built by their old coach.

Hey I'm not a negatiger or a positiger, but it's been a weird decade for fans

As a native Mississippian, I was shocked when I first recognized the LSU fan mentality. Now, after 33 years of supporting LSU, I am still surprised by the shitty fans that are far too numerous.

I gotta admit that's funny.

Every fan base is exactly like the LSU fan base. Some of y'all must not get out too much or have short memories. Remember the Alabama fan that poisoned the Auburn tree or the death threats made against the Bama kicker? EVERY fan base is just like LSU's with nut case fans, wacko fans, level headed fans, band wagon fans and complacent fans.

You are stupid wrong. Where I came from , fans rejoiced if they won.

Don’t talk about something you have no clue about, tard.

Sat next to a couple of LSU fans who were cheering for Tech when it got tight in the 4th quarter.

Wish I was kidding.

You are stupid. There were thousands of LSU fans rejoicing over the victory last night and others complaining about how we won. Every fan base does that. I repeat, you don't get out much and you certainly don't talk to other fan bases if you think only LSU fans do this.

Wasn’t that the week after the Vol game? I always thought Miles was talking about the media. We had several shakey performances earlier; UNC, WV.

People said that very same thing before Miami and we won.

The same people turned around and said the very same thing before Auburn and we won.

I have no idea whether we'll beat Georgia or Alabama but I'm not prepared to rule us out.

And honestly even if we lose those two games, if it's only two games, then we end up 10-2. That's a successful season.

The sky is not falling.

What's wrong with wanting excellence? Expecting it is what needs to be measured...

Yea guess if you consider Sabans tenure. I was talking about 08-18.. that's when the honeymoon started coming to an end with Miles.

So Auburn fans didn’t go from wanting Gus fired to thinking he was great to back to wanting him fired to back to thinking he was great over the last few seasons?

Go back to Friday. Ask State fans what they thought of Moorehead. Now ask them today what they think about him.

Let Jimbo lose a few more games this year and see how many A&M fans start screaming “hiring Jimbo was stupid. What were we thinking”.

And here’s the biggest kicker of all of them. Let Bama start losing a few games a year and being left out of the playoffs. See how long it takes before you hear Bama fans saying “Saban has lost it. He’s just not that good anymore”.

This is the nature of EVERY frickING FAN BASE. When you are winning championships, the fans love the team. When you’re not winning championships, the fans just don’t get excited.
