Houston reached out and took in a lot of refugees after Katrina. We can only reciprocate their generosity.

I'm in north Alabama and unable to do much physically, but donated a goodly sum to Red Cross just now. I think they do good work.

Prayers for Texans!!

This is what America should be like! What makes LSU fans passionate about football also makes us passionate towards one another in times of need.

As a fellow Cajun who relocated to Texas some years back(not a Katrina refugee) I would like to thank all of our brethren to the east. This is the worse flood in US history. A lot of the tiger alum are out in full force. Their strength and passion to help cannot be match by anyone. The state of Texas will always be there you yall as I know the state of louisiana will be there for us. Together we shall get through this, the nights are dark but the days will be brighter....

I'm in the middle of it stuck in my apartment. Thankfully we're on a higher level street and haven't gotten any flooding. But it's just sad and scary to know what's going on only a mile away. Thanks for all of you that are helping out!

CNN airing several times the saving of a Houston flood victim by La.'s Cajun Navy, and asking others to all do the same, to help and assist the people of Texas in however America can.

Doesn't matter, it won't change the positive vibe of people getting to see La's residents illustrate how Americans can unite and assist during a tragedy.
