6. LSU
2017 points allowed per game: 18.9

2018 projection: Worse

Why? Because they’re losing 9 of their top 13 leading tacklers, including standout defensive linemen like Arden Key (20 sacks past 3 years), Greg Gilmore (53 tackles, 10 TFLs and 7.5 sacks in 2017) and Christian LaCouture (66 tackles, 8.5 TFLs and 6 sacks in ’17).

We lost Arden after the 2016 season

So Georgia loses players but they have talent that just needs seasoning. LSU loses players so they’ll be worse period. Love that logic. I get the doubt about the offense but come on dude, do your research.

It's sad because a lot of posters here are unwilling to face the truth. It took me two years and then I woke up.

Lmao. This is laughable. Key was non-existent last year, and Lacatchoure was overrated. We have a way more stout defense than last year.

We're gonna be real good on D, no worries. Question is offense.

As is usually the case with LSU, whether it’s Les Miles or Ed Orgeron in charge, the Tigers have a championship-caliber defense and an offense filled with question marks.

So we’re gonna be worse than last year, but then says it’s a championship caliber defense. Don’t get it.

Maybe the article is more about how good the defenses are in the SEC.

This shows how much the media knows about the facts. They just list who left the team and if their replacements are much better it counts for nothing to them because they are unknown to them based on past performance.

Our defense is going to seriously kick some arse this year. It’ll be great to watch against any team not named Bama or UGA this season. Unfortunately think they’ll get worn down by our O’s lack of success those games.

Their prediction will not come to fruition. This LSU Defense will be top 3.

That is truly an awful take.

They are referencing Gilmore and LaCouture as reasons we will be worse on defense, when the defensive line will be 3x better than it was last year.

Outside of Miss St all the teams ahead of LSU on this list all typically have really good defenses

Yeah. Playing in the SEC we’re going to face tough defenses. I think potential wise we can be a top dawg in the country.

He also included Chaisson as a interior linemen. So you know, Really well researched.

That website gave me and my phone aids. Multiple levels of aids, on pop ups and the 'information'.

I always hate arguments based on who left. You gotta look at who is there. Pretty common sense.
