Did he break every bone from him shoulder down?

At this point this sounds strange as hell. The guy hasn’t technically been available for over a year. A broken bone in his non throwing arm is having him guaranteed to miss 18 weeks? That doesn’t add up

What will he do now? If Max is as advertised he has to transfer somewhere else right?

Well, we didn't really get the details but what you do know is it's severe. The word severe being the word they used so it's not hard to believe.

Not sure which is funnier, the fact that medical diagnoses are being handed out based on virtually zero information, or that they are being handed out by people with zero medical training. And in many cases, both.

It’s called tRant for a reason.

Feel really bad for Myles Brennan, he has put so much time in to get to this position. I personally always thought that Max would be the starter, but hurts us now with no experience behind him if something should happen.

The bright side is now the coaches and team know who will be the guy to start the season and can tailor the game plan and preparation that way. There won't be any division on the team regarding the starter, and no half arse attempt at a two QB system. That actually makes me feel better about the first game.

It really is impossible without knowing the bone

From other examples

I’ve seen

Carson Palmer returned in 7 weeks

Hoyer 8 weeks

Washington state qb played the next week with a small cast

Those are the only examples I can find for “qb breaks non throwing arm”

Him being out 12 weeks seems long as hell, the entire season seems nuts

Not an option. LSU has used all 25 allotted signing spots for this year's roster. This means they cannot add depth from the transfer portal this fall. Max and Nussmeier are the current available QBs.

We used all 25 scholarship slots. We can still add walk-ons. And now we have this thing you may have heard of called NIL that could pay for tuition, books, fees, meals, etc. We have the technology to bring in a good backup QB from the transfer portal, if necessary.

They said "severe". He could've broke it in multiple places which is why he needs surgery.

Brody Miller reported that it is his humerus bone.

quote:

Sources tell The Athletic Brennan had a freak fall in which he landed on his left arm, tried to fight through through the pain and eventually went in to discover a broken humerus bone. It brought back memories of Brennan playing against Missouri with the torn abdominal muscle and still throwing for 430 yards on adrenaline before missing the rest of the year. This time, it might have crushed the fifth-year senior’s hopes of finally becoming the star LSU quarterback.

Yeh he is fricked

Upper arm break was what I said should have him fricked

He is indeed fricked. He can’t run drills or anything with that

Archie Manning played his last year against LSU in an armcast. He shouldn't have been out there.
