LSU blows out #24 Furman and gets 0 Top 25 votes

They're overlooking us which is fine. The top 25 isn't all that important, especially at Christmas. Recognition is much more important going into March.

All the top 25 have 2 losses or less except UNC. We have time to gain ground but we're a 3 loss team right now.

I mean is Furman really that good? Furman, Memphis, UNC Greensboro, and Louisiana Tech are our best wins. We lost to FSU, OSU, and Houston. Are we really deserving to be in the top 25 at this point? Now I do think this team is better than what we have seen but I agree with the polls up to this point. We should not be a top 25 team right now. It’s no reason to freak out over it though. Still a lot of basketball left to be played

Charleston was a good W too. They are 11-2 and came close to knocking off Auburn in the tourney last year.
LSU blew the FSU and Houston games after looking dominant. Their one bad performance was Okie St. If they can figure out how to play as physical as they could, then they could be really good. They are probably right outside of being top 25 team since FSU needed OT to beat them and they are ranked high. A little strange not to get any votes, but not a big deal.

Furman looked about as top 25 to me as Louisiana Tech. Villanova would NOT lose to them ever again.

Furman is a 70-80th ranked team according to most advanced stats sites

Well Oklahoma State blew us out and they aren’t in the top 25 based on this logic. We should be receiving votes at least, people overlooking LSU is just fine.

Recognition is always nice for the fanbase and can offer validation for the players. But as far as how the top 25 impacts our postseason chances, yes it's completely meaningless.

Exactly, in fact it's absolutely meaningless. The Net I'm told is the new go to Matrix and we are No. 26 which is good.
