Road wins: Texas A&M, Arkansas

Michigan, Houston.

3-0 in true road games.

LSU has wins over 4 current tournament teams and isn't even on the bubble.

It will come with time but it's amazing how hard it is to get people to notice and admit they're wrong when it comes to NCAA basketball. Lazy research and reporting relegated LSU to last place in the SEC and people still think that's where LSU is.

Not to mention 3 of those 4 losses likely go away without sampson getting hurt and he is back now.

I would’ve been happy with just more effort and passion this first season of the Wade era. He’s already surpassing my expectations. The Michigan win is very underrated. That was Waters’ big debut.

We are a tournament team! Next time you see someone post something about the NIT, please correct them!

Historically, the polls have been unkind to LSU. We have to build consistency and the rankings will come. Wade will get us there, I have no doubt.

I think LSU will sneak into the tournament and surprise a team or two. Next year, they'll start out the season ranked in the Top 20.

We will have every opportunity to climb the RPI ladder in the next few weeks. There are multiple teams on the schedule with higher RPIs than us...when we win...we will be noticed.

The SEC show staff was gushing over LSU last night.

But you shouldn't get too high off of the Arkansas game. Now if the destroy things this weekend... that's a different story.

Just keep winning. We moved up to 51 in the BPI rankings after Wednesday.

A&M and Arkansas are 0-4 and 1-3 in the SEC. Not tournament teams at this point. But why worry about that now? If LSU keeps playing well they will be in, if not, they won't.

I'd bet a lot of money that Arkansas and A&M will be tourney teams. So far, LSU has really exceeded expectations. I hope fans temper their expectations for the rest of the year and enjoy the ride. I'm afraid this early success will cause casual fans to have expectations too high and turn on the team if when they lose some games. This team is a joy to watch but I'm really excited for next season.

Too early. Don’t even pay attention to that yet. It will come

well, if it plays out anything like our football program, our fans will demand firing of the entire coaching staff every time we lose a game!

Wade was right to be mad about that play. Went from a charge, then they reversed it to a 2+1 free throw. I’ve never seen anything like that in basketball (a review at the 8 minute mark) huh????

This team has us believing again and it’s fun so I am hoping we can get in the Tournament and you can’t stop me. Basketball isn’t like football or baseball it doesn’t always take years to change the philosophy and reload with talent because the are so many gaps to fill. We all know the only thing that could catch up to us throughout the year will be depth if we have some possible injuries later on. Plus college basketball with the right coached( which looks like we have) can turn things around in a year or 2. Very pumped to say the least to have a competitive team again.

Well, each has a loss courtesy of LSU and each were ranked very high RPI/KenPom when LSU beat them. A&M was the best team in the league entering conf play. Injuries and suspensions have killed them early. By the end of the season they should be trending up and competing for a NCAAT spot. Arkansas is doing what they usually do...good at home, bad on the road. However, for LSU to not only win at Ark., but completely dominate them is incredibly significant. Don't just look at the SEC records. These were two HUGE road wins for LSU that allowed them to jump nearly 60 spots in the RPI. They are very much in the discussion for a NCAAT bid and there is no way I figured that would be realistic this season

If the season were to have ended the day before LSU beat them BOTH would have been NCAAT teams

And I love it, there’s nothing better than flying under the radar. Nobody takes you seriously and there’s no pressure on your team. All it does it put a chip on your shoulder and provides extra motivation. Before you know what hit you it’s too late and LSU is advancing past you.
