LSU Basketball could be our most successful sport this year. Will Wade is definitely our best coacg

I agree. I definitely enjoy a winning basketball team more than football.

3 of those 4 losses were winnable too. A few extra bounces and we could be 23-1. I don't think people realize how good this team is. Not sure how we'll do in the tournament due to draw and matchups. But, this team is playing like the best team LSU has ever had. No hyperbole.

What a great Team win. The quality depth that Will Wade has built is incredible.

This is just 2 short years after having one of the worst rosters in the SEC.

I certainly hope this statement is wrong unless both they and baseball win the national title and we just call basketball more successful because it's the more popular sport nationally.

I disagree with that statement. I watched almost every game of the 2006 team and this team, and I definitely think the 2006 was better. Mainly, the 2006 team had much better basketball IQ. This team is more athletic but the 2006 team didn't necessarily lack it-- especially with Tyrus Thomas who was about a 6'9" Marlon Taylor. Garrett Temple was a more athletic, better defending version of Skyler Mays. I'll give Tremont a slight edge on Darrell Matchell but D-Mitch was great too. Smart and Taylor are quality wings but this team doesn't have a Tasmin Mitchell at the 3. Tasmin was basically Darius Days and Javonte Smart rolled into one. Naz is talented but he's not close to Big Baby as a college basketball player. Big Baby scored almost every time he caught the ball near the low block with his combination of size and moves. Naz hardly even has moves. He can dunk and he can make an open shot. I love this team. I just think you're statement is quite an overstatement. That 2006 team was phenomenal and easily could have won it all. This team has a LONG way to go still to get to that point. And I can't even speak for the Dale Brown teams...

I've been trying to tell people this since Will Wade and Steve Ensminger were hired.
