The whole experience is kind of uncomfortable. It’s like a funeral in there. There were a pretty decent number of students there last night and they couldn’t have been more apathetic as to what was happening on the court. None were standing. None. And the DJ tries to get everyone pumped up by BEGGING the crowd to make some noise. “Come on y’all, Coach Wade and the players need to let Memphis know they’re in Tiger Stadium now! The Tiger dome!” And then he tries to start and L-S-U chant which about 7 people join in on. I thought once a good product was on the court this would change but I guess not. It was sad; why would a recruit want to play in that environment?

The crowd will get much better as the season goes along, unfortunately the masses have no idea how good this team is yet. They are starting to take notice (you can see it on the board alone) and things will be rocking by SEC play.

I expect to see a decent crowd for the LA Tech game friday night being an in-state team.

I think spectator sports in general. whether college or pro, have a diminished live experience now. Too many people looking at their phones etc. The attention span of the average American has nosedived. You will never see another return to the glory days of early 90's LSU basketball with regards to fan experience. People just aren't as passionate in this day and age.

It was weird for sure. It’s like this early though. People are still in football mode, it’s finals time for students, it was six o’clock on a Tuesday for professionals, it’s game 3 of 30.

Crowd should be a lot better. But if the team keeps winning then come SEC games in the spring I have confidence the PMAC will be rocking again.

Student section acts like the 80 year olds that sit courtside.
Fan attendance will be the reason Wade bolts one day.
If you can't support the product Wade is putting on the floor, LSU will never matter in basketball.
13 home games left after Fri night.

It was a Tuesday night game, in November, and the temps were in the 30s last night. Just wait until January when SEC play starts and this team is still undefeated.

Us 80 year olds left some empty seats. Was it too cold for you young studs to make it over to the PMAC?

The LSU crowd is showing up, but they don't know how to cheer for a Basketball game. No matter, it'll improve once we get to sec play.

We apparently can't get good Friday night crowds. People must have better things to do.

Bring back the whiteboard guy. He'll get the students pumped up.

The OP is right. Nothing was wrong with the crowd size last night. Great attendance. It was just crazy quiet in there. Yes students were quiet too. Everyone was quiet.

The OP is right, but it was a good crowd not a great one.

Initially it looked like a weak crowd, but there were a lot of late arrivals due to the 6:00pm tip.

The guys play hard, they play team ball and the coaches have em headed in the right direction. We have a great mix of locals and national kids.

You young guys need to fill the place up and make some noise. Wade is doing it right. Come out and make a difference. Show the old folks how it's done.

Wade needs to call them out. If you want to stay on Snapchat for 80% percent of the game, just stay home.

they also need instructional powerpoints on how and when to make noise.

I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. You’re absolutely correct. Come SEC play it will be rocking.

Believe it or not he was there last night. No whiteboard and not in the student section.
