LSU's game at Missouri on Saturday has been postponed due to issues related to COVID-19, per release. LSU will now play at Ole Miss instead.

SEC press release

quote:

The LSU at Missouri men's basketball game of January 9 has been postponed due to a combination of positive tests, contact tracing and subsequent quarantining of individuals within the Missouri basketball program, consistent with Southeastern Conference COVID-19 management requirements. A make-up date has not been determined at this time.

With the South Carolina at Ole Miss game scheduled for Jan. 9 also postponed, the LSU at Ole Miss game originally scheduled for Feb. 17 will now be played at 8:30 pm ET on Jan. 9 and will be available on SEC Network. Additionally, the Mississippi State at Vanderbilt game on Jan. 9 will now start at 6 p.m. ET on SEC Network.

LSU will play Saturday @Ole Miss at 7:30pm on the SEC Network

Do we go to Ole Miss twice now this season or they make up Mizzou

The press release says this is the game that was originally scheduled for Feb 17, so I'm guessing no.

Fine with me. We don’t look ready for Missouri from what I saw on Wednesday against Georgia

Damn. I know it is not the level of detail that goes into prep for a football game, but switching a conference opponent on you the day before the game is kind of rough.

Live shot of LSU's plan about to take off for Missouri...

No this is the trip to Ole Miss we were supposed to have later in the year.

So Manning doesn't have to worry about learning a new scouting report for a new team on the fly. Sharp move by him.

It will be a bang up scouting report on both sides

Yep. As meticulous as Wade is, you know he has to be pissed right now.

I heard we just roll the ball out there and play street ball. What do we need a scouting report for?

Yeah this makes scouting very tough. Not sure who gets the advantage

Well, I would say advantage LSU.

I mean, according to most of the fans on here, Wade doesn't know how to coach, we don't run an offense, and we don't play defense.

Seriously though, you'd have to think that the team with the superior talent would have the greater advantage since neither team has enough time to prepare greatly for the other's strengths and weaknesses.

But this will be good preparation for the tournament. Turnaround time and quick scouting reports are an issue there as well, although a little different still.

Sucks, but at least scouting is equally difficult for both teams.
I'm ok with it as I didn't feel good about Mizzou yet.
It's kind of nice to see the SEC get ahead of this game at least for possible future reschedules. Pretty well played I think.
