What is going on with our baseball team/program? They did this last year, start out on fire and then fall to pieces. I know it’s early but this could turn in to disaster fast.

I'm not that worried because unlike last year, we actually have talent in the pitching staff.

this isnt football. we will be fine. Florida lost 8-0 in a mid week game to like Georgia Southern or something and look at them.

The program is in great shape.

Last year's team lacked pitching.

This year's team lacks seniors.

Don't sweat it, bro.

I agree but I also have to worry because they look lackluster. They just have not looked like they did in the beginning of this season (3 W's against Cal St) since the first inning of the Sat game against Florida. Ever since that bad call at first base it seems like they lost focus.

I have watched every single pitch this season and something is different right now. It feels like they are just going through the motions right now and when they lose they look like the season is over.

PM needs to walk into the locker room and say, "You guys just lost to a 10 loss team at home by six runs!" and then walk out!

I would then expect Mahtook, Hanover, and Nola (and any other team leader) to step up and talk to the team and get their shite together now before they head into the UGA series.

Players only meetings work!

I dont expect an undefeated season but starting the SEC 1-5 would suck! At least take 2 games this next series would be nice. 3-4 in SEC is a better look after two series.

Happens to every baseball team during any season of decent length. Baseball is not a game where a team can perform at peak concentration and motivation and attention to detail the whole way through. Sometimes you just hit the doldrums. Doing it in March is a hell of a lot better than going the ACC route and doing it at the CWS.

Agreed but we need to get back on track now because falling behind in the SEC is not an easy climb. Remember last season?

I am not worried so much about tonights loss as I am about losing four straight.

My point is that this weekend is now a lot more important to our team for the 2011 season.

Maybe because they are actually playing good teams now and being exposed.

Ehh, I'd say that LSU is in danger of losing out on hosting privileges if it doesn't do well in the 4 consecutive weekends against OM, AR, AU, & VU. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on any one game or series. Stuff happens.

ULL is not a good team, we played bad!

Florida is a good team and we played good.

We swept Cal State Fullerton. (They are legit - beat TCU twice at TCU, and beat Arizona State tonight)

Exposed of what?

Let me rephrase, ULL had its best game of 2011 tonight and we played terrible.

I agree with most everything that I'm hearing. However, we had a chance at home to beat the #1 team in the nation 2 games in a row and blew both of them and now we look as if we have given up. That is a big concern. And for the post that stated we are playing good teams now and getting exposed.......come on ULL is not a good team. And we have beaten some good teams already. If they could have pulled off those first 2 games against Florida then they would more than likely be a very pumped up team right with a lot of momentum but since those 2 losses they look like the season is over. PM needs to get the team remotivated fast.

I am a transplant to Alabama and I don't post much because of lack of time for the most part. I have to use DandyDon & GeauxZone a lot to try to keep up with my Tigers nowadays. However, it's nice to get on every now and then to see all of the Tiger fans on here and to get the low down on what's happening there from actual Tiger fans that are on the front line and see what's really happening.

Could be we are not that good. If the dogs kick us around then we probably finish in the middle of the west at best and probably will not host post season if we even make it. Tulane even with their poor hitting will beat us the way we are playing at this time.
