10-5 currently

Alabama, Tennessee, A&M, Arkansas, South Carolina

2-1, 1-2, 2-1, 1-2, 2-1 is what I think will be likely series numbers at worst.
Maybe we play outstanding and get a sweep over Ala. A&M, or SC or win a series against Tenn or Arkansas.

does 18-12 get you a regional host?

“At worst”

We just got swept by Auburn and play some really good teams coming up.. I’m not saying we will, but the at worst situation will be being swept a couple of times

The only series win I feel comfortable about is against South Carolina. If the hitting doesn’t come together, the next few weeks could get ugly

They may not win another game with how bad the offense is.

SEC will likely get 5 national seeds. (Probably will deserve 6 but committee will spread it out.) An 18-12 record would put LSU between 3-5. So 18-12 will get LSU a national seed.

If LSU wants to stay in the race for the SEC title, going to need to go 5-1 over these next two home weekends.

I think actually the worst scenerio is getting swept in two of the upcoming series. Hopefully, the bats will come around and the offense can get back on track. I think 18-12 definitely get you a regional host, but I'm not sure it gets you a top 8 seed.

We’d definitely host a regional at 17-13, 18-12 but would need help to get a top 8 seed that I doubt we get.

The worst case scenario is the world ending, pretty much always
18-12 feels right, and thatll get us the top 8, which is the whole point of the season

Obviously, that’s not true. The record could go south very quickly if we keep hitting like this past weekend.

19 wins is the safe number for a national seed. Not saying that 18 wins could do it because it probably will, but 19 is almost guaranteed.

And if it’s like it was the 30 games prior and our bullpen keeps throwing like this weekend we can beat every team we play.

We’ll take 2 from Alabam. We’ll take 2 from Tennessee. We’re only going to win 1 at Texas A&M. We’ll win 1 over Arkansas and 2 at South Carolina. That’s my 8 & 7 scenario. 18 & 12 finish plus winning a couple in the sec tournament should get us a national seed.

Our hitting, much last like year, dropped significantly once we began SEC play. Credit can be given to superior pitching, but we also don’t seem to change our approach. For how great Jay is at a recruiting and roster building standpoint, his game day management is not great
