my head is not buried at all. Im critical when it is warranted. In fact ive been railed for being to critical at times.

These last 2 games were disappointing but anyone that thinks it is automatically means the season is doomed is just stupid. At least be realistic about it, because you havent been to this point.

This pitching staff has the ability to be the best LSU has ever seen. THat alone will give them a chance to win a lot of games.

I think I have. 5 out of 7 games with mediocre to poor hitting

now the story isnt written but I'm definitely concerned with the direction of the team

Hope they get better. I do. I'm not in hear bashing players. Just concerned for now. Jacoby and Nola have got to step it up. They should be this team's leaders. I thought for sure we'd get more out of those 2, Katz, and Ross.

What, Ty Ross is batting .400 with a 50% OBP

Katz .333 with OBP of .444

Nola has an OBP of .423

Not that bad for those guys

Other than today, what bad performances has the pitching staff really had?

how many XB hits? I think Hanover had like 4 last year or something. Need more than singles hitters throughout the line up.

They are getting on base, they aren't getting out as much as Slaid, Yocom, and Jacoby

If Jacoby starts to hit like he's capable, this lineup will be fine.

im not asking for a NC. just like to see a regional at the box again. 17 SEC wins... I don't think that's that demanding.

potentially, yes.

Gausman & Eades will be 1st round picks baring any unforseen injuries. Maybe in the past years of college baseball, say late 80s early 90s that wasn't as uncommon, but these days that is rare as hell.

If McCune pitches like he did last year and not like today, we go into every weekend series with a hand up.

Nola, Goody and Rumbelow have impressed me out of the pen. Joe Broussard has missed bats as well.

It certainly rivals our 09 staff that featured Renaudo and Coleman. That team never had a #3 starter though or many reliable bullpen arms besides Matty Ott.

They could be. We have 3 pretty solid guys throwing on the weekends.

No way this staff will ever be as good as the 1991 staff. Paul Byrd, Rick Greene, Chad Ogea, and Mike Sirotka.

why not?

Paul Byrd had a 4.66 ERA that year, fwiw

Eades and Gausman are more talented than Sirotka and Ogea.

I never had much confidence in this team at the start of the season. I don't even expect them to make the post season.
