Among the facilities included in the tour are the playing field and dugouts; the team locker room; the weight training center, pitching lab and batting cages; and the LSU Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

LSU players and coaches will be available to sign autographs during the stadium tour. Free 2020 LSU baseball schedule posters will be given away during the event, and fans are permitted to use the poster and one additional item for the autograph session.

Food and drinks will be available for purchase in the concessions areas, and the LSU SportShop will be open throughout the day. The event will also feature silent auctions of LSU sports memorabilia and other valuable prizes.

Monday, January 27th

Is baseball practice similar to football, where they can do work with certain coaches before official practice starts? 3 weeks doesn't seem like nearly enough time to get arms ready to pitch.

They can't as a group, from what I understand (I don't know what defines a "group"). But they can get individual attention, which I believe can worked in such a way to set up the throwing programs and such to have them on their ramp up phase for pre-season practice.

That's what I figured, but I wasn't sure.

Between the big football run and basketball ramping up I’ve barely paid attention. Any projection of a line up and rotation? Thanks

Rotation:

Fr - Henry
Sa - Marceaux
Su - Labas

2 - Garza
3 - Beloso
4 - Doughty
5 - Mathis
6 - Hughes
7 - Willis
8 - Gio
9 - Cabrera
D - Bianco

Not a prediction or what I want, just what I've seen

Tigers should be solid this year.

How much pressure is on CPM, honestly?

Looking at it objectively:

-Very veteran pitching staff returning
-Somewhat veteran bats

Those two things lead to high expectations. This is one of the more veteran heavy teams we've had under Mainieri.

He also had to fire his hitting coach in the offseason.

According to most national polls, we are the pre-season 6th or 7th best team in the SEC (which translates to between 11 and 15 in the country). Which is not where the fanbase would like to be.

I don't think it's a decision year, necessarily. But I don't think the burner under his seat is off and I don't think it's getting turned off unless we get at least as far as we did in 2017.

I feel the same. This team would have to have a completely crap year for Mainieri to not be coaching at LSU next year. I don't see that happening. There is an area in-between being fired, and it not even being a discussion (which is where we have sort of been landing). If that happens, next season could be put up big, or retire.

Might be the deepest pitching staff I’ve ever seen at LSU...except for lefties of course...but we’re absolutely loaded.

We have 3 lefties on the roster.

The roster on LSUSports.net only shows 2 lefties but we were given a printed roster last Thursday at the Coaches Committee meeting that has a third lefty pitcher on it, Michael Lagarrigue, from Mandeville.

Good to know, thank you.
