The baseball team always shits the bed during the regular season but turns it up come SEC tournament/World Series. Softball is the opposite. Both can never win it all.

Yea you’re right....

17-13 in the best division of the best conference of baseball means that we “shite the bed”

Softball has normally gotten to the World Series with mediocre seasons before turning it on in the post season.

This years team just wasn't able to get it done in supers. Still proud of them considering what they lost from last year and what they returned this year. Don't think anyone expected us to even get to host.

What's interesting is IMO this has been Beth Torina's most talented team

Not even close

The 2015 and 2016 teams TRUMP this years team. Pitching and hitting.

-Hoover
-Andrews (AJ)
-Walljasper
-Landry
-Bell
-Jaquish
-Simmons
-Kloss
-Griggs
-Smith (P now at Minnesota)
-Selamn (P who went to Baylor)

Torina did a good job this year getting to work the most out of what we had. We returned the worst offense in the entire SEC and we made it work for most the year.
Working with a group of inexperienced pitchers. Sure we hit more home runs but that is all this group has going over those other teams.

2015 had an eventual All-American pitcher who got squeezed out for playing time. They were loaded. Just a little too young to take the prize because that was everybody's 1st OKC trip except AJ.

I'm sure all of the LSU athletes on those teams really, really appreciate your support of their hard work.

You should go check out The Intimidator. Baseball has a pretty rich tradition of actually winning it all.

That 2015 team IMO was the best team we have ever had. Yes the pitching was very young but when you factor in that offense its probably the most complete team we ever fielded. Hoover and Walljasper both still had sub 2.00 ERA's as freshmen.

2016 was very good also but the offense wasn't quite at the same level as 2015 for whatever reason. Pitching was elite that season as well.

LSU baseball has the second most CWS won. Just because they haven’t won one in 10 years does not mean “can never” win it all. Respect their history!

2015, 2016 softball was stacked. A little short on the depth side but none the less solid.
