Beat a top 10 team, move to 25

Should be at 21, ahead of auburn

Meh, LSU won by 4, at home, but has two of the ugliest losses of any team in the Top 25.

Seems pretty reasonable to me.

Exactly. Should Iowa St be ranked ahead of Oklahoma regardless of record? Polls are a snapshot of the season's work during that week

What does it matter if both teams are unranked?

Are there rankings of unranked teams?

Polls are a joke. They have a 1 loss ohio state above an u defeated miami. They just play favorites. They want OSU on the doorstep to be in the playoffs

The difference is ours and Auburns records are the same and we're ranked in the same general vicinity.

Beat a Top 10 team and only move to #25 when none of the teams from 20 - 25 have a more impressive win on their schedule? That Troy loss seems to carry hard shackles with it. We should be #20 or #21.

Wins should be more important than loses when comparing two teams with same record LSU's wins are way better than Auburn's and we have the head to head

They also have OSU over an Oklahoma team that beat them on their home field.

As you say, they play "favorites" and will use head to head where it justifies one selection, then "who you lost to" on the next and so on with no consistency.

This is not a prediction. When LSU wins out and wins the SEC championship, and other teams currently with none or only 1 loss, will lose games eventually.

Now this is a prediction, LSU will for the 2nd time in history to be a team with 2 losses that will be in the playoffs.

This is not a prediction. When LSU wins the NC this year, We will be so happy because we have played up to 22 Freshmen this year, and think about next year, When LSU wins a 2nd NC in a row. Back to Back National Championships 2017-18 and 2018-19, oh and a trilogy for the ages, when LSU wins their 3rd NC in a row, 2019-20.

Ushering in another Decade of LSU football!

Auburn lost to Clemson who lost to Syracuse who lost to LSU. See how that logic works?

Doesn't matter, we're just as likely to lose to Ole Miss as we are to win. Every game is a crap shoot. I hope we keep it going though. If the defense keeps up the momentum, good things will happen.
