re: LSU athletics and poorly constructed facilities

LSU turned a profit in baseball west before any of those other guys did. I am betting the advertisements put us over the top.
I’d heard that 15 or so years ago each sign was 10K per season. I have no idea what they are now. It ads(sic) up.

Having become use to the OF signs I’m used to it. It’s certainly not embarrassing. Mlb parks on down have it. That’s the least of the issues.

But back to the ads, Arkansas turns a profit, Ole Miss, State, USC... lots of these teams make money without the ugliness.

I haven't complained about the sun. Again, I only mentioned the cover because it's where the bleacher seats start.

It's all sub par, doubleb. The batter's eye. The way the ads are done. The lack of chairbacks. You can have ads, but they can be consistent and be uniform. Many others go with all white with no colors. It looks so much better. And we have multiple examples of schools doing it better. I'm not asking to reinvent the wheel. I'm asking for the highest standard from the highest standard team for the fans that have shown they're willing to support more than anyone else. It's not too much to ask imo. Excellence should be expected, no demanded.

You are behind the times. As ESPN becomes more and more involved, it is becoming more and more like football where fans only show up for big games and lately for baseball that is only the super regionals. State was the last time the box was truly full and spilling out. Even Florida state wasn't as packed as it could have been. This is a result of how easy it is to watch at home now. So schools are looking for ways to get people to watching in the stadium because winning isn't enough anymore. You have to offer something unique, special. And if you can't even do the bare minimum for the SEC, then you can't expect people to show up. Chairbacks is one of those things.

That's just sad. It seems like they went plain vanilla when they built that. If they went big it probably would have added some shine to the PMAC as well. Perhaps an added concourse area? All of the inside areas look cramped in pictures.

After all the pics we might be 10th or worse in the sec as far as stadiums go. That is incredibly bad for a top notch baseball program

Honestly very sad that both the pmac and box are bottom half of the sec. it’s embarrassing for a big six school

I’ve been saying for years that we’ve been out of the top 5 in fan experience at the box and that was before Florida, Kentucky, and State each spent $60 million + to rebuild. It’s like people have never been to Baum or Founders or the Dude or Swayze... people think the box is special in some way. It’s not. The only unique thing now is the tacky ads.
