According to a CFL Playoff panel, Michigan and LSU have the best chance of making the playoffs out of all the teams ranked below the top four.

We control our own destiny. Win the games in front of you and the rest of the shite will take care of itself.

At this point it's pretty straightforward, win and we're in. A 12-1 LSU team with a win over Bama and an SEC championship won't be left out.

If they keep Bama out with 1 loss I’d be shocked. Would love to see ND, Clemson, Ohio St., and LSU in the final 4. I’d like our chances after watching those 3 play so far this year.

Yeah, with what's happened in the past, I can't help but brace for another Bama backdoor. I would have to think a 12-1 LSU would be ahead of them in the pecking order, with a head-to-head win and conference championship, not to mention Bama's best win would probably be Texas A&M if we run the table. Still, I'm hoping for 3 undefeated teams (Clemson, ND, OSU) going into the playoff, just to eliminate any likely chance of a non-champion getting in.

Lets say LSU wins the rest of their games.
Play UGA in the SECCG and win.
Bama makes it into Playoff once again after not winning their conference with the single LSU loss.

Then what if LSU loses the SECCG and Bama goes to playoff. So playing the extra game hurts you because you didn't win your conference CG or your conference. Well neither does Bama but they get to go? I hate the backdoor Bama title shots that they get.

It sucks that we would potentially have to play UGA and Bama twice in a year on the way to a title.

This is a common complaint. It's completely ludicrous that a team can not win their division, avoid the championship game, get all that rest, and show up to the playoffs fresh-faced and ready to roll.

The current playoff system is not what we've been asking for. It will take another few years of teams like bama losing their way into the playoffs before they change the system.

If LSU went 11-1 with one loss to a top 5 team, we’d all be wanting in to the playoff. Don’t let your Bama hate make you say stupid shite.

If LSU had 1 loss and it was to Alabama. Bama loses the SECCG and this was their only loss. Do you think they would put LSU in the playoff?

NO WAY!

But flip this scenario and Bama would get put in.

Of course I would. I'd want LSU in the playoff if we were 6-6. But that's not what we're talking about here.

This has nothing to do with bama hate, even though I do hate bama. This has to do with the fact that the current playoff system is seriously flawed. When a team can be second in their division, avoid having to play in the conference championship game, and slide into the playoffs anyway, there's something wrong. But, certain teams get the benefit of the doubt from the committee, while others have to actually win to even sniff the playoffs. Surely you see the problem here.

If LSU beats bama and ends 11-1, then wins the SEC championship, Bama will once again back into the playoff without having to even play in the conference championship

According to the experts, Bama won’t be able to back into the playoffs if the other three teams are undefeated. In fact LSU’s win over Ga makes it far less likely for Alabama to be invited if they don’t win the SEC.

I agree.

Lets say ND, Clemson, Ohio are undefeated. If LSU wins out but loses in the SECCG against a one loss Georgia/Flordia/UK, does the SECCG winner go over Bama?

Weird shite happens when Bama plays Auburn. While unlikely, if LSU takes care of business it's not outsode the realm of possibility that Bama goes down as the best 10-2 team ever but misses the playoff.

A 1 loss Bama would not get in over a 1 loss SEC champion. Period. Only way they back in with a loss is if the other 3 aren’t undefeated.
