LSU All-Decade Team 2010-2019?

Who ya got? Including any player that was on an LSU roster from the 2010 season through 2019 season.
Here’s my take:
Offense
QB - Joe Burrow
RB - Leonard Fournette
WR - Odell Beckham Jr.
WR - Ja’Marr Chase
WR - Jarvis Landry
TE - Foster Moreau
OT - La’el Collins
OG - Trai Turner
C - Ethan Pocic
OG - Damien Lewis
OT - Joe Barksdale
Defense
I used a 4-3 since that’s what we ran for half the decade, and also because it was easier..
DE - Danielle Hunter
DT - Tyler Shelvin
DT - Bennie Logan
DE - Barkevious Mingo
OLB - Deion Jones
MLB - Devin White
OLB - K’Lavon Chaisson
SS - Tyrann Mathieu
FS - Eric Reid
CB - Patrick Peterson
CB - Derek Stingley Jr.
Special Teams
PK - Cole Tracy
KOS - Avery Atkins
P - Brad Wing
KR - TM7/PP7
PR - TM7/PP7
Others suggested ITT:
RB - Derrius Guice, Clyde Edwards-Helaire
WR - Justin Jefferson
TE - Thaddeus Moss
C - Lloyd Cushenberry
DE - Sam Montgomery
DT - Michael Brockers
S - Jamal Adams
LB - Kendall Beckwith
LB - Patrick Queen
LB - Arden Key
CB - Tre’Davious White
CB - Morris Claiborne
K - Josh Jasper
Inb4 Honey Badger played cornerback. I know. But can you imagine him at strong safety or nickel with Stingley and PP7 on the outside?
Other random thoughts:
- Holy shite we have had some studs come through at skill positions over the past 10 years.
- I found DL and LB to be the toughest. Partly because of the 4-3 vs. 3-4 disparity (specifically Chaisson and Key) and partly because we’ve had a bunch of equally talented/productive players at those spots.

Bennie Logan over Michael Brockers? No.
Also, until Stingley finishes, you’ve got to put Mo Claiborne or Tre White as the corner.
ETA: Jamal Adams over Reid as well.

I think Fournette, Helaire and Guice could be a coin flip

I wouldn't be so quick to put Leonard in at RB. Guice was every bit as good just not as flashy. I would even put Thaddeus Moss in at TE. TE position is very weak here

Love juice. But he doesn’t make it over Jefferson.

FS - Eric Reid
I’d say Adams.

I struggled with this. Logan had the better career stat line, but I did initially have Brockers listed instead and changed it.

Also struggled with this (admittedly less than with DT), but here’s a question: if you had to play a game with Mo Claiborne as a senior or Derek Stingley as a true freshman, who would you take?
I think I’d take Stingley. I just think he’s that good. But I wouldn’t fault anyone for saying otherwise.

Honestly, I’d take Tre White. I edited him in. He’s shown he’s one of the best CBs on the planet right now in the NFL.
Stingley will most likely surpass them both, but White has proven it over and over again.

You could take the best players from 2010 and 2012-2018 and they wouldn't stand a chance against that 2011 team and definitely not against the 2019 team.

I almost just listed 4 WRs instead of a TE so I could include Jets. Felt kinda disrespectful to Moreau though.
I think Foster was a very good “traditional” TE stuck in an offense that simply never utilized the position until he was gone. Do I think he could have done what Thad did in the 2019 offense? Maybe not. They are different players. But I think he’s a lot better than his utilization at LSU would indicate.

How crazy is it that we’ve had Tre White (pro bowler, consensus All-American), Pat Peterson (pro bowler, Thorpe, Bednarik, consensus AA), Tyrann Mathieu (pro bowler, Bednarik, Heisman finalist), Mo Claiborne (Thorpe award winner, consensus AA), and Derek Stingley (consensus All-American as a true fresh) all play cornerback at LSU within the past 10 years?

If 2008 was included Andrew Hatch QB

Not that those DLinemen weren't good but for an all decade team that line up really highlights why we took a step back for a good chunk of the decade.

Beckwith?
Over Devin White??
I probably should have just listed three “linebackers” and two “safeties” like they do in the All-American voting, instead of differentiating between “OLB” and “MLB”. I could maybe see putting Beckwith in over Deion Jones or K’Lavon in that case.

Was our best D-lineman this year. Not a lot of glory playing NT in a 3-4. There are certainly some other guys who you could reasonably put ahead of him, but I don’t think it’s laughable to include him.
