LSU adds Roy Anderson to staff
LSU has added lead analyst to its defensive staff with plenty of NFL experience.
Roy Anderson, who spent the past two seasons as the safeties coach with the Chicago Bears, is listed on LSU's official coaching staff as the lead analyst for the Tigers.
The news was first reported by FootballScoop.com.
Anderson, 38, was a graduate assistant under former LSU head coach Nick Saban in 2004, and he has spent the last 14 years as an assistant in the NFL with the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers and the Bears.
The Florida native and Howard University graduate is the latest addition to Ed Orgeron's support staff, which has shuffled since the end of the 2018 season.

How many analysts do we have now and how many can you have does anyone know?
Also how many does Bama have I think Saban has a ton and pushes the envelope probably

We have 11 analysts now.

I think Bama has around 20 analysts. As of now, there is no limit to the number of analysts a school can have.

Do anyone know why a proven NFL position coach would be a college analyst?

INteresting Move
You have to think assistant position coach in the NFL is maybe a better career point than consultant in college.

The only saving grace of this Alleva/basketball debacle is Alleva attention is diverted from the football program where Coach O seems to be making solid move after solid move to advance his program.

reported that safeties coach Roy Anderson, who has been with the Bears the last two years, would not be retained by new defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano. This comes as a bit of a surprise since Anderson previously worked with Pagano in Baltimore and in Indianapolis.
Bears going after Ed Reed as safety’s coach. As good as the secondary was last year for Chicago, this move is extremely peculiar

Yeah that's right, we comin'.

That's beyond stupid from Pagano. While Khalil Mack changed that defense, the progression of Adrian Amos and Eddie Jackson had a huge part as well.
Him and Bill Busch coaching the safeties is a nice combo
