LSU adding UVA regional scout JR Belton to staff.

Sources share with FootballScoop LSU is planning to hire Jon Belton. Belton, who played at receiver at Louisiana Tech, currently serves as a regional scout on Bronco Mendenhall’s staff at Virginia.

I’d imagine it’s most likely an analyst or replacing Jeff Martin.

Honestly jeff martin is a big loss.
He is the guy who dances and has fun with the kids when they come to campus, almost like a big brother. That shite matters.

Belton is a young dude who played QB at West Monroe...probably would’ve played QB at the next level but tore his ACL a couple times in HS. He’ll be fine in that regard and can relate to a lot of recruits.

And this might be the most talent, in terms of depth, ever in one class in Louisiana. I know we say shite like that a lot, but this legitimately might be.
So I'm very happy we are replacing a Louisiana guy with another Louisiana guy.

Belton was going to be a huge recruit before his injuries. I remember JJ27 talking him up at west Monroe
