I'm pissed we didn't make our season average of 10.4 runs.

Looks like we've got some shite to tighten up as we move through SEC play if we want to make Omaha.

Everyone got a hit tonight except Brown. Great effort throughout the lineup.

I don't know. Just make sure you win game one. It can slip away quickly. It got interesting before we got to 8 runs.

I’m not even criticizing Jay. I’m not sure why y’all think that.

Because criticizing coaches is like your whole shtick.

I bet Jay would say he wishes Cowan could be available tomorrow and Sunday too. Do you disagree with that?

I mean yeah in a vacuum I’m sure he’d like to have his best reliever. I’m sure he wishes Kade Anderson would be available the next two days as well, doesn’t mean it’s at all relevant.

Unless you’re saying you think he would have done it differently if he could go back in time, in which case I think many would actually disagree with you.

Lmao no it’s not. And even if it was, that has nothing do do with anything I said tonight. I never once criticized Jay.

Maybe, maybe not. I have no clue. I think there’s a chance that he brought Cowan in hoping he would have a 10 pitch inning and he’d be able to pull him and save him for the rest of the weekend. I think if he knew Cowan would have been burned for the weekend it’s possible that he would have done something differently. But I don’t really have a clue, and neither do you.

We’ve graduated from “I bet” to “I don’t really have a clue.”

There’s a reason behind every decision he makes. Every decision has been planned out days maybe weeks before the game

This certainly has its advantages, but I think Boosie’s point is valid too. Johnson expected a high leverage situation and had things mapped out for Cowan to be the guy to handle it. When it turned out not to be high leverage after all, I can see the argument for pivoting to saving Cowan for a high leverage situation. Perhaps Cowan’s preparation was such that he had to come in at that point in the game, but I may have tried to get another inning out of Anderson. Johnson knows his staff and clearly has a plan for the next two games without Cowan, so it’s not the end of the world either way.
