No. 1 Seed Virginia Tech (31-4, 14-4 ACC)

First round: Defeated No. 16 Chattanooga 58-33

Second round: Defeated No. 9 South Dakota State 72-60

Sweet 16: Defeated No. 4 Tennessee 73-64

Elite Eight: Defeated No. 3 Ohio State 84-74

No. 3 Seed LSU (32-2, 15-1 SEC)

First round: Defeated No. 14 Hawaii 73-50

Second round: Defeated No. 6 Michigan 66-42

Sweet 16: Defeated No. 2 Utah 66-63

Elite Eight: Defeated No. 9 Miami 54-42

Virginia Tech is led by 6-6 Senior Elizabeth Kitley (18.2 ppg, 10.7 rebounds). PG Georgia Amoore has scored at least 20 points in every March Madness game this year.

In the Elite 8, Kitley & Amoore combined for 49 points - over half of VT's total offense.

---

For LSU, Angel Reese is averaging over 22 points & 17 rebounds in the NCAA Tournament. Alexis Morris is coming off her best game in the tournament with 21 points against Miami.

Both teams take a ton of free throws so staying out of foul trouble will be huge in this game.

As has been the case in the tournament, if LSU can consistently rebound well and limit second chance opportunities from VT, we have a shot. Expecting Alexis Morris to have a great game which should make things easier for Angel and LaDazhia Williams down low.

Kitley is going to get hers, but we need to limit the damage Amoore does as an outside shooter. Poole will likely have that task.

1 win away from the National Championship Game. LFG!!!

And Poole has been playing her best ball in the tournament IMO. While I don't expect it to be a cakewalk, I like LSU's chances.

Poole isn’t quick enough. I would keep Morris on her.

They will likely rotate different players on her but Morris and Flaujae matchup the best given their quickness

Kim isn't hesitant to put Flaujae on big players at times and she has done well at times defending them

Hold a heavy revound advantage, gotta continue to work their tails off chasing down rebounds to make those possessions count. Really hoping they lighten up on the foul calls, let them play especially in the paint.

I feel like we gotta play our best 40 minutes of the year. We need someone to get hot shooting 3’s. Don’t let VT jump out to a big lead, they gonna come out shooting 3’s.

I think you start with Poole on Amoore. I really think she can neutralize her.

I think Flau’jae is due for a really good game. Her and Alexis Morris hitting shots this game would be great.

Yes, we will have to play very good ball to advance to the NCG. VT is good but not invincible. I too like our chances.

We gotta watch the ticky tack fouls. VT gets to the FT line just as much as we do. Can’t be getting in foul trouble early

I think we dominate on the inside just need to run them off the 3 point line
