LSU +2.5. BEST BET ***

From Pickswise:
Reasoning
“The Mississippi State Bulldogs will get their first test of the season as they travel to Death Valley to take on the LSU Tigers. Mississippi State has been impressive so far, starting the season 2-0 in a dominant fashion. The Bulldogs have easily covered the spread in both games, and the average margin of victory has been 24 points. The main reason for the success has been because of the air raid offense of Mike Leach. Junior quarterback Will Rogers has thrived under his system throwing for 763 yards and nine touchdowns. The run game has also been complimentary to the passing game, with Jo’quavious Marks averaging 4.5 rushing yards with three rushing touchdowns. Everything has been clicking for the Bulldogs to start the season. Will this dominance continue at LSU?
The Tigers have had a different path to start their season. They opened the season against Florida State in heartbreaking fashion as they got their PAT blocked to tie the game as time expired. The LSU offense started slow in that game, but their defense was keeping the Tigers in the game. LSU will need to figure out a way to slow down this Bulldog offense Saturday night, and it starts with having one of the most difficult home-field advantages in College Football. LSU came into this season with high expectations, with a dominant defensive line and solid secondary. They haven’t reached their potential yet, and this could be the game where they shine. Transfer quarterback Jayden Daniels has had a couple of games under his belt to get comfortable in the Tiger offense. He should see more positive progression this week.
This spread seems to be easy to take Mississippi State based on its dominant start. I believe this will be a tough test for a motivated LSU Tiger team that needs a win. Mississippi State hasn’t fared well in consecutive road games being a favorite. The Bulldogs, as a two-point favorite or better, are 1-11 ATS in the last leg of their back-to-back road games. I will take the Tigers to cover the spread at home.
LSU +2.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number“

I’ll prob drop 50-75ish on state just as a consolation prize in case we don’t win. I think we win though but taking an L and losing $$ would suck. I do that in close games with lsu a lot.

I bet 10$ on MSST to cover under the same premise. I’ll gladly lose that for an LSU win. I also put all the favored teams I hate in a money line parlay and bet a little on that. Lost some money watching AM and and lose last week but I was as happy as can be.

It’s makes all the sense In The world for MSU to win. Checks every box. That being said when it looks to perfect it never is actually a saying me and my betting friends say. It makes perfect sense so it makes no sense especially with LSU when they are given zero chance to win. . I never bet on LSU but if I did for the reason I said above I’d take the Tigers big.

+2.5 seems like a pointless bet. What’s the odds of LSU losing by 1 or 2? Just take them to win at that point

Two weeks ago Boutte scoring a TD parlayed with the LSU moneyline was a lock too.

I don’t really agree with the whole “home field advantage “ being some big factor. It’s really all gonna come down to which team shows up and has a better game plan. I think lsu wins but I’m not confident in that or beating my chest about it. I’ll be very happy if Tigers win and if they don’t I’ll be pissed with a few extra bucks in my pocket.

Only a dumbass would take + 2.5 instead of +3.

Maybe you mean a dumbass would give -2.5 instead of -3?
Take points if you think that a home underdog will cover the bet.

If you're going to bet LSU, bet the moneyline. That's where the value is at and there's no fun in winning a bet if LSU loses by 1 or 2.

I think that late in the game, if it's close, it can really be a difference maker. I also think it's an advantage to LSU from a standpoint of avoiding travel. Two games at home vs two games on the road (and the previous game being on the west coast ending at like 1 am CST) I definitely think can have an impact. Just from a prep standpoint, LSU should have had a more productive week.

Also, if you like good values or have "free bets" keep an eye on Jack Bech as an anytime scorer. On FanDuel his odds were +490 (which was worse than LSU and Miss St defense to score a TD)

We just lost to Florida State by 1 point
Game goes to OT and lose by a 2 pt. conversion

I remember when Pickswise had lsu -2.5 as the best bet when we played FSU too

You think we lose by a point 2 of the first 3 games of the season?
