Dline: Fehoko, Shelvin, Lawrence. (Reports are that Shelvin's weight is on pace to 335#'s range, and that he is taking football seriously now)

LB: Chaisson, Phillips, Queen, Divinity

CB: Stingley, Fulton

Safety: Delpit, Stevens

I know there are some of these spots up for debate, but if this is the roster, and IF Shelvin (literally a big IF) is serious and slimming down...

Then I would put the starting talent & experience level...and depth (with many valid starter candidates like Joseph, Vincent, others not in starting 11)...as good of a D since 2011.

And the 2019 campaign has Aranda.

I'm pumped. LSU football's brand is most known for the D...and this 2019 D is going to be among the top-5-10 ever assembled/coached...possibly top-3.

That defense is stacked. Like you said this isn’t even considering guys like Todd Harris, Kelvin Joseph, Kary Vincent, Eric Monroe, other d-line contributors we could see. I think Marcel, Ika, Cherry, Davin Cotton, Farrel, Justin Thomas, could all make names for themselves next year.

There is no doubt that Shelvin is the key to this D being dominate. With the rotation we will have he is the center piece to the two guys outside doing some serious damage! Add in the LBers and DBs this D can be very very special.

I think it will be our year boys!
