I recognize that hindsight makes for easy decision making, but I wonder if LSU ever considered starting Floyd yesterday to save Hilliard for today. I just never felt confident that he was ready for this moment, nor was he the best match up with all the fastballs he throws.
Hilliard has been in these games before, usually doesn't beat himself, and he doesn't throw anything straight.
