Rankings are not really about who would win between the two. If it was, Tennessee would be ahead of Bama. 
Rankings for G5 teams are almost always going to be inflated at the end of the year and that is what it is.
Tulane is a very good team, but would not survive a P5 schedule. Still are a very good team.

I mean yall literally won the game vs Alabama *barely* and the whole program coaches players fanbase and all was like "OK yall we beat Alabama season complete see yall next year!" And preceded to almost lose to Arkansas and get your arse beat two games after that with a cupcake UAB in the middle. How sway??
