Hickman was fantastic today. It’s easy to say our hitting was shitty, but it didn’t matter who you had at the plate nobody was hitting him. He was to good. Your best shot was getting into their pen, which we would have done had this been a 9 inning game. I’m not saying we win the game if they go 9, and I’m certainly not saying we lost because of the SEC. But our shot would have definitely been greater if it wasn’t for some dumb rule.

At least we weren’t swept. I honestly feel Paul has to make a decision on Hess as a Friday starter. You just can’t have a pitcher giving up that many dingers as your Ace. You give yourself no chance at an SEC run if Hess remains a starter.
