Anyone else see the opening line of LSU -3? I was thinking it had to be outdated, but it looks like this may actually be it. If it's really -3, that worries me. Seems like a trap for people to lay money on LSU. Arkansas looked like garbage against Liberty (who was playing a 3rd string QB). I was expected somewhere between LSU -7.5 and -14, especially with KJ Jefferson's health still in question.

Look at the last 20 or so games versus Arky.

Always immediately after Bama. team always seems to struggle.

Vegas takes everything into account. Coming off a huge win and going on the road is a trap game and why the line is -3

Is Arkansas going to be up for playing though? They seem like they're ready to quit after losing 4. BK's team usually handle business against the teams they're supposed to. Their secondary is terrible. I was thinking this game should be somewhat similar to LSU at UF

Brooks and Foucha will make sure the LSU team is fired up.

It's just a tricky game in the sense that it will be chilly, it's at 11 am, just coming off an emotional Bama game, and Arky is desperate.

Vegas bettors are definitely expecting a big time trap.

With the way LSU is playing, and Arkansas being 5-4 and having lost to Liberty, you would expect it to be bigger.

Coming off a huge win in OT, Arkansas coming off of a horrible loss, 30 degrees, 11am kickoff. BIGTIME trap game.

Arkansas is tough at home, period. Do not think going there and aTm will be easy. Yes, I believe we win both, but they will need to play. Arkansas should make you nervous. They will bring their A game at least in effort.

If everyone is saying it is a trap game, isn't it no longer a trap game?

I feel better about @Arkansas than @A&M. Both may be in the middle of quitting but A&M at least has the horses (especially with Weigman at QB) if they somehow find a spark. Arkansas has to have KJJ in top form to have a prayer, and even then their defense should still be a huge liability for them.

Arkansas has better talent at RB, some of the OL, and that seems to pretty much be it.

A&M has Achane, some stout WRs, and talent all over the field on defense

Arky is always a tough place to play especially when the temp drops. I see our guys being pretty locked in and ready to play.

Their fan base is shot. They will not show up. They are more beat up than we are.

The desperation will lead to lots of wild efforts by Arkansas. Fake Punts, Onside Kicks, Flea Flickers, Going for it on Fourth Down many times, etc.

Coach House has his work to do this week.

LSU really hasn't dominated an opponent from start to finish this season and the game is on the road. Plus, LSU's two biggest wins this season (Ole Miss and Alabama) have come at home. Versus Ole Miss, Mississippi St and Auburn they fell behind by double digits before dominating the second half. Versus Alabama and Florida they played well in the first half before the defense allowed a bunch of points in the second half (Alabama scored on its final 4 possessions)

An LSU (-3) line means the oddsmakers feel LSU would be a 6 point favorite on a neutral site. If you just look at the sportsbook power ratings, which is what the books use to set lines, Arkansas will be the toughest road game to date for LSU. Hell, even Georgia, who has probably been the most complete and dominant team in the SEC this year, only opened as an 11 point favorite on the road at MSU this week.

This LSU team is playing well. They have already exceeded expectations. But this isn't one of the dominant LSU teams from the past. It is a team that can't just show up and dominate any SEC opponent. Every game will be a battle for them. So while I could see LSU opening as a -4 or -5 favorite, -3 is not outrageous

Arkansas’s thin secondary just had a starting nickel back arrested Saturday, so that might be a factor. Another DB also arrested but Meles Slusher is the one who starts.
