Most of the projections have us playing on a Jan. 1 bowl game with most predictions being Michigan or Michigan State and maybe Ohio State and one prediction of VA Tech. I hope it's a big ten team. My preference in who I want LSU to beat is

1. Michigan
2. Ohio State
3. Michigan State

Though I think Michigan State may be the better game in regards to who we match up with.

Me too. Would love to expose Harbaugh and his outrageous salary.

Yeah, it seems everyone wants us to play Michigan.

Ironic that we may finally play Michigan the year after Les is fired.

Yes that is a good angle. I like the idea of playing Michigan State given the Nick Saban connections and Dantonio used to be an assistant under Nick at MSU. Though I would get tired of the media always playing the Nick Saban angle before, during and after the game.

Dantonio is the most likeable among him, Harbaugh and Meyer.

Michigan is really playing great football right now. i'd prefer Michigan State for this season at least. Frankly I'd much rather the Cotton Bowl. I don't speak for the fanbase but another florida bowl sounds pretty underwhelming. shite, I'd take the Liberty or Music City Bowl before another Florida trip

I would like to see the Tigers take on Michigan. For some reason, this matchup has never occurred.

Isn't Wiscy still undefeated or 1 loss? Somehow I think Ohio state will pull off the Big 10 as usual. Leave the Badgers or Penn State. Michigan would be a let down for me. We owe the other 2 a$$ whoopings.

We have to win the next 2 games first. Then we should set up for a New Years bowl game.
LSU would finish 3rd overall in the conference. If Auburn loses to Bama and we win out.

I seem to remember Florida though they "show" Michigan a few years back!

Is that the biggest 'Historic' program that we've never played? I'd have to think so.

Historically, LSU struggles against the Big 10 . I’ve waited my whole life to play Michigan so let’s make that happen and invite Les to flip the coin.

Fingers crossed for Michigan. That's the only opponent LSU fans will travel for.

I am not sure it works that way. I don't think the loser of the SEC title game is automatically #2 in the pecking order. If Georgia would get beat by BAMA similar to what occurred vs Auburn LSU might jump them to #2 in the hierarchy unless Auburn takes them to the wire even in a losing battle.

I'd prefer Ohio St. We compete with them for a lot of recruits so beating Meyer and OSU would be beneficial. As for location, Texas or Florida are fine since we recruit heavily in both states.

LSU is nowhere close to being No. 2 in the bowl pick hierarchy. LSU won't even be 3rd.

We needed a lot of help this past weekend, and Auburn pretty much solidified being picked ahead of LSU with that win over UGA. A big loss to Bama is not going to change that.

LSU is very likely sitting behind MSU, as well. MSU can lock up that 4th bowl slot with wins over Arky and Ole Piss.
