Looking forward to some LSU hoops Friday night
Tigers get a little tougher competition with UNC-Greensboro. This is the team that almost upset Gonzaga in the tournament last year.

Not a powerhouse opponent, but far from a pushover. Will be a good test for this young team to build upon.

Doing a report for tomorrows game better team but SLU could be a tourney team as well, and both are very well coached. Also Wes Miller will be getting a big job sooner than later.

Report would be great.

I was impressed Wed. night. We knew what were we getting with Reid. But Williams and Taylor looked a lot better than I expected this quickly.

This is like watching an NBA team, fun. They'll get better as the season goes. My player is Emmitt Williams
a blast to watch and brings a great toughness to this team.

re: Looking forward to some LSU hoops Friday night
Reid was better than advertised in a couple of ways for me. Much better ball handler than I anticipated, and in person much more dominating presence.

Williams looked as advertised which is saying a lot, easily the most athletic on a very very athletic team, hope he can develop a post game just needs 1-2 go to moves and he will be a 20-10 guy in this league next year.

Taylor by far looked far away better than he was projected happens a lot with JUCO guys. He showed nice range and obviously great bounce but also I was very much impressed with his defense and versatility.

I actually thought Smart played the best out of all the freshman/newcomers. Reasoning is he is not the type of guy that will blow you away with athleticism or shooting. But he is so good in every aspect that you can look up at the end of a night and he has 22-25 pts, 8 assists and no turnovers and be a force on defense with a couple of steals and 5-6 rebs and say where did that come from. Just plays very very mistake free basketball, which for a freshman in the SEC will be huge.

Darius Days the forgotten newcomer also played and played early, at 6-8 he can shoot from the outside and is athletic enough after seeing him in person in a pinch can play the 5 which will be huge for this team. I honestly think what he gives us is the difference between an Elite 8/Sweet 1 type team and a Second Round team.

Bigby-Williams will be an SEC starting caliber big which is refreshing. Great defensively should average 2-3 blocks a game, and has a nice enough jump hook to keep defenses from totally helping off of him.

Defense looked pretty damn scrappy as well. Better free throw shooting too.

One thing I'd like to see more of, since we're so deep now, is pressing.

Right now I would caution that, definitely do not want to show all of your presses right now before they matter. Have not even seen the halfcourt 1-3-1 they have been working on since last year. As well as the full court man run and jump which is when you will see the Phi Slamma Jamma type highlight reel dunks.

They will press a lot more this year, and CWW unlike other coaches is not afraid to do it after a miss. Patience my friend its like footballs secret playbook, just this one will be used when it matters. The 1-3-1 halfcourt if used with our athletes will give teams fits think Syracuse but more attacking. Whenever a team passes to a wing against Syracuse's D it really turns into a 1-3-1 not a 2-3

Totally makes sense on saving some of the unexpected defensive looks for big games.

As far as Phi Slamma Jamma goes, I'd love to see an in-game slam dunk competition between Williams and Taylor.

I like him playing the 3 too with a big lineup. Very versatile.

Skylar Mays had a couple of great passes to him down low on back to back possessions midway through the first half. I'm hoping to see more of that.

If Skylar makes all his layups this year, we're going to the final 4!

He has to hang on to the ball all the way to the rim first.

True. I cringe every time he gets to the rim.

Will subpoenas be served at halftime?

Funny guy. GTFO. You're grasping at straws with Wade.

Love this team already. It's big and athletic. Combine that the a great point in Waters, and Wade has built a powerhouse in just 2 years.

No chance Smart gets close to 22-25 points.

There is too much talent on this team. He's going to be a 10-12 night type of guy.

Also Days is not 6'8" he's barely 6'6". Bigsby-Williams is a bit raw will fill in nicely to get rebounds and block shots.

re: Looking forward to some LSU hoops Friday night
Was not really my point, my point is there will be a night or two where I could see Javonte getting 22 or 25 and it being a quiet night for any player, but thats his style. He will get atleast 20 multiple times this year.
