Great read on how the players are taking advantage of the sleeping pods during fall camp.

How are they keeping them clean?

Sorry it’s been in the back of my head MRSA can be an issue in locker rooms.

They hired professors minimum wage gigs to come clean them twice a day.

They wipe them with the tears of people like Dick Vitale who cried about it.

In the article they explain how there is a special room for the players to clean up and put their shoulder pads and that the actually locker room is very clean and well ventilated to keep the smell out.

They built the place to keep the players in the facility as much as humanly possible. They thought of everything to discourage them to leave during the day including the smell.

I'd be shocked if they weren't sprayed with lysol and wiped clean daily by staff.

Researchers in New Zealand, for example, studied professional netball players for two years and found a 20-minute nap on game days significantly enhanced peak jump velocity and subjective coach evaluations of player performance.

Likewise, a separate study of Stanford’s men’s basketball team showed 110 minutes of extra sleep per day led to faster sprint times and a nine percent increase in three-point and free-throw shooting.

Athletes who sleep less than 8 hours are 1.7 times more likely to get hurt than athletes who sleep more than 8 hours, according to research from The Institute for Scholastic Sport Science and Medicine, and 65% of athletes who averaged less than eight hours of sleep over a 21-month period suffered an injury during that time. And 95 percent of the body's daily production of growth hormone is released from the pituitary gland during the third and deepest stage of sleep, non-rapid eye movement (NREM).

Very cool.

Nah, they aren’t paid. They just let them use the vacuums in their office after they are done...

As I read the title to the article, I couldn't but help think of the movie The Junction Boys.

Pretty easy. You say "hey intern/student worker/low wage janitor person, come here" and hand them a tube of Clorox wipes and point at the beds.

I did find it funny all the players going to Walmart shopping for pillows and converters to sleep in the sleeping pods lol.
Reading this I think about how coach miles used to have hard long practices and wonder how the sleeping pods would of help the players out throughout the season.

Same. You think they’re going to spend 28 million on a building and not have a strategy for keeping them clean?

AD has a cleaning staff and that area gets cleaned at least once per day.
