As an LSU alum and current Baylor Grad student, that wears my LSU gear everyday to campus, I would not be thrilled if Baylor gets in over LSU barring an unforeseen LSU loss and Baylor win. I've watched both teams all season and the committee eye test goes to LSU every day of the week. Baylor needed OT for Tech and TCU, a lot of ugly wins along the way.

They argued all night that Utah was in over BU/Okl. Now all of a sudden BU/Okl winner is worthy

Yes because Utah is getting smoked by Oregon

So does every other metric which could possibly be used to rank teams (except for conference championship).

Said that Joe Burrow would look like a game manager AT BEST against the Florida defense.

Joe Burrow completed 87.5% of his 24 passes (the highest % UF has given up in their 113-year history) while throwing for 3 TDs and averaging 7.2 ypc on 43 yards rushing.

If LSU loses, they would have BY FAR the best loss of the 1-loss teams (#3 UGA). Baylor would have the next best (#7-8 OU) if they won, but would fail the “eye test.” (too many close wins)

I don't believe it. That close win over Iowa State did OU in.

Well-reasoned retort. Would read again.

That’s not what they said. They said with Utah out either of the big 12 champs is in if LSU wins.

I would love to have a job where I could just say stuff, be wrong, not get called out for it, all while being wrong has 0 effect on me keeping my job.

I agree. What worries me is that the committee seems to “value” something different each week. Who’s to say that next week it won’t be conference championships? If so, they may be likely to put the Big XII champ in over us, especially since they seem keen to avoid having 2 SEC teams in the playoff, and the possibility of another all-SEC final.

The bottom line is that I don’t trust these frickers any further than I can throw them.

It’s not laughable at all. It could easily happen.

The Tigers need to remove all doubt. Leave nothing to chance. If you want to take it out of the CFP committee hands, beat UGa..

Plus, we want to be SEC Champs.

There’s a chance that an LSU loss and a Clemson, OSU and BU/OU win keeps us out.

The only chance is in the heads of stupid people like you.

If they go through all their checks that they keep making up each week, none would favor Baylor or Oklahoma.

Eye Test, SOS, SOR (R = Record), point margin, etc.
