Listening live, podcast will be available around 5:30 pm CST Podcast list - search for Grunhard
For those that don't know. Grunhard was a ND player, played a 10 yr career with the Chiefs. He is still closely connected to the program. Comes on this radio program every Tuesday to talk Chiefs, but BK news took over.
Tidbits I thought were share worthy.
Meeting with ND players was short, 5 minutes. In that time he said he "wanted a new challenge" and that is why he left.
The OL coach that has been mentioned as possibly following BK, has health issues. So he may just retire. He didn't add more then that. Maybe that has already been known, but first I heard of that.
BK relies a lot on assistants. He learned the hard way being a "red arse" to qb's. So started to become more of a CEO type and let his coaches coach.
Not being able to recruit juco kids to ND hurts them. Or is just not something they can do with the academics. Something he can do at LSU. (Doesn't seem like something LSU does a lot of regardless - my opinion)
Thought BK could win a title at LSU. He thought with the resources it should happen.
They touched on more, this is just what I could remember. About 30 minutes worth of LSU/BK talk mixed in with some USC/Riley.

I would guess the transfer portal has reduced the need for JUCOs. I would bet that ND was still limited with who they could go after in the portal.

It would be cool if he took a lesser role as an assistant to the O line coach that’s less stressful, and we kept Davis.
